Full Band Optimal Paths for Rock Band 2 on PS3 and Xbox 360

Can you smell what Harmonix is cookin'? It's Rock Band 3! The Rocktimizer is pumped up for the midnight launch tonight. Since Rock Band 3 has several new modes and changes to the scoring engine, The Rocktimizer is going to needs time to re-tune his code to produce optimal paths for Rock Band 3. Here are his current thought's on what's going to happen for full band paths.

• No on-disc paths for any song will be released until 9 months after the release of Rock Band 3 (26 Jul 2011), or until the end of the summer 2011 season of Scorehero league play, whichever comes last.
• For old DLC, releasing both a classic (GBDV) path and Pro-drums only path is no problem. Many songs will have different full band paths because of changes that affect when the singer can activate.
• The same goes for new DLC.
• For songs with harmonies, The Rocktimizer will also always produce a 6-part GBDVvv path.
• At the moment, The Rocktimizer is leaning towards not to post all-instruments paths (GBDK). These are more expensive to calculate. Also The Rocktimizer knows that some people like coming up with paths on their own, and he doesn't want to spoil all of their fun.
• The Rocktimizer isn't sure what he's going to do about Pro guitar. He needs to see how hard it really is. If it's tough enough that people aren't able to FC anything but really easy songs, he's probably not going to bother

The Rocktimizer knows that there are people out there who like to come up with their own full band paths. He's not gonna take away all your fun. Paths for Green Day: Rock Band will be released the day Rock Band 3 comes out. You've got almost two whole months to take first place on those leaderboards.

Lately The Rocktimizer has been getting email from some expert full band players. They say they've been getting some trash talk from some other bands when those other bands find paths on therocktimizer.com and start passing people on the leaderboards. These emailers want The Rocktimizer to shut down his website because people are becoming drama queens about being in first place. Well The Rocktimizer has a thing or two to say about that.

First of all, to the little rugrats who are doing all the trash-talking: Didn't your mamma teach you any manners? Does The Rocktimizer have to drag you out to the backyard and do it himself? It's time for you to teach yourself Wheaton's Law. Do you really think getting first place on a song in Rock Band makes you the greatest thing since sliced bread? Of course it doesn't. So don't stomping around on the internet with your chest puffed out like it does. And if you're posting videos of your top scores, rugrats, you better be giving The Rocktimizer some credit. Be cause that wasn't you doing all the programming to come up with these optimal paths, that was the Roctkimizer! All you did was look at a picture and do what it told you to do!

Second of all, to the people these little rugrats are pestering. Go take back first place. Because you're the bomb. You were there first. You can look at pictures just as god as any group of rugrats. So don't let it get to your heads. It took them almost three years to take first place, and they needed the help of The Rocktimizer. Take a deep breath and remember how awesome you are.

Third, if this ever gets out of hand, remember that Xbox Live encourages you to use the Report Player feature to complain about gamer misconduct. And so does The Rocktimizer. Fewer obnoxious rugrats on the Internet, please!
